Yesterday's USDA Crop Report set a bearish tone for the corn and soybean market.

Wheat harvest is progressing slowly in the Dakotas as wheat is in various stages of ripening and some was baled early because of the drought.

Weather is expected to be warmer and drier next week.

CFTC report shows the funds are net long in hard red winter wheat and net short in corn.

Next week is back to normal at USDA with crop progress report on Monday afternoon.

This is Bob's last market update call. He is retiring from Farm Futures, but may still write articles for the magazine on occasion.
