Hot forecasts lift corn and soybeans

Corn moved past $4 a bushel and soybeans climbed further above $10 after the National Weather Service said it expects above-normal temperatures in August for most of the country.

Also, hot weather expected this weekend for much of the Midwest raises concerns for soybeans and late-maturing corn.

The dollar is quite a bit lower today in reaction to gains in the euro. The greenback is now the lowest against a basket of currencies since August 2016.
