Futures retreat after Tuesday’s rally

Grain markets pulled back overnight on profit taking following their May Day rally. Storms moving through the Corn Belt from Missouri to Michigan will stall planting in the heart of the growing region, and the outlook for the second week of the forecast remains uncertain. Spring wheat growers will see better conditions for seeding over the next two weeks, and dry hard red winter wheat fields on the southwest Plains could get a much needed drink.
