When it comes to marketing the 2020 crop, Texas A&M AgriLife Extension economist Justin Benavidez says growers need to be nimble and prepared. Farm Press visited with Benavidez recently at the Central Plains Ag Conference in Olton, about marketing and budgeting tools, along with online resources for growers.
"You can't know if you're making a profit if you don't know your costs," Benavidez said.
He also discusses Extension's 2020 Texas Custom Rates Survey and the importance of grower participation. "It takes 10 minutes to complete," he says. The information gathered helps Extension economists tailor their analyses to individual districts if producers participate in the survey, he adds.
