International attendees can now register at worldagexpo.com to reserve tickets and request letters of invitation to attend the expo, Feb. 8-10, 2011.

“Each international attendee must have a letter of invitation to qualify for a temporary visa from their embassy,” says Irene Santos, chair of the World Ag Expo International Committee. “We created the online system for the internationals’ convenience to allow them to access the information at all times.

In 2010, World Ag Expo registered and hosted more than 900 international attendees from 56 countries, who enjoyed a wealth of services at the International Business Center.

“Global diversity has made World Ag Expo even more valuable for our exhibitors and attendees”, noted Jerry Sinift, chief executive officer of the International Agri-Center. “We welcome international exhibitors who show new technology and international buyers, ready to purchase and grow their operations. These interactions create an invaluable experience for those searching for new technology to help make their operation more profitable.”

All international attendees are invited to attend the International Reception on Wednesday, Feb. 10, beginning at 5 p.m. inside the Heritage Complex Banquet Hall. At the event, attendees are greeted by WAE International Committee and foreign exchange students dressed in traditional clothing from their homeland.

“The International Reception is a wonderful event every year,” says Santos. “To see the diversity of our agriculture community from various countries demonstrated at World Ag Expo makes me proud to be a volunteer.”

International visitors who register at the International Business Center are given a variety of free services including on and off site tours, assistance with export agreements, connections with international distributors and translation services.

The 44th annual World Ag Expo 2011, Tools for Agri-Business, will run Feb. 8-10 at the International Agri-Center show grounds in Tulare, Calif. An estimated 100,000 attendees are expected to attend World Ag Expo, the largest annual agricultural show of its kind. Each year, approximately 1,500 exhibitors display cutting-edge agricultural technology and equipment for 250 commodities on 2.6 million square feet of show grounds. Online attendee registration is now available at worldagexpo.com. Those who register online will save time at the entry gate and will be automatically entered to win registration prizes. World Ag Expo tickets are $12 online.
