The World Ag Expo schedule is loaded for Wednesday, with a vast array of agriculture seminars scheduled and a benefit concert to follow in the evening: David Nail and Stealing Angels.

Super Hornet launches World Ag Expo

Opening day of World Ag Expo was launched with a fly-over by a Super Hornet jets from Lemoore Naval Air Station, a star-studded Opening Ceremonies and celebratory cannon blasts. 

The fly-over featured an F/A-18F jets, with Major Dan "Trigger" Kaercher, Pilot, US Air Force and LT Jeff "Creature" Creighan, WSO, US Navy, from Squadron VFA-109. [More]

Forage Challenge winners announced

A total of $18,000 in prizes was awarded today at World Ag Expo to the winners of the 2011 World Ag Expo Forage Challenge, presented by Mycogen Seeds.

Finalists were chosen out of 37 entries from nine Western states that entered the challenge. The competition challenged farmers and ranchers to enter the bounty of their labors to see who produced the highest-quality forages in
 the West.

Samples of the finalists' alfalfa hay and corn silage entries are on display in World Ag Expo's New Product Center on "Q" St. and Expo Lane during the Expo. [More]

Concerts for a Cause

Wednesday evening, catch David Nail and Stealing Angels. Proceeds benefit the ag programs at the new College of the Sequoias campus in Tulare. [More]

World Ag Expo offers a vast array of seminars each day. Wednesday will feature General Agriculture seminars, with topics such as air quality regulations, and water supply and quality outlook.

Beef producers and dairymen will also find seminars for their specific industry, tackling issues such as the sustainability of the beef industry and how to survive the milk price wars. [More

Energy solutions seminars offered Thursday

A series of seminars on energy solutions will be offered by Southern California Edison on Thursday in the Dairy Hospitality Center at World Ag Expo. [More]
