On behalf of USDA’s Risk Management Agency, Watts and Associates – Economic Consultants, will conduct a listening session on the impact of reduced irrigation on risk management through FCIC crop insurance on Feb. 20, at 9 a.m., at the University of Arkansas, Monticello, Agriculture Building.
The listening session will seek input from farmers, insurance agents and companies, Extension agents and faculty, irrigation suppliers, water board representatives and other stakeholders. RMA is interested in obtaining input on strategies to reduce the amount of irrigation water required, effects of the reduced irrigation on production and the effects of reduced irrigation on crop insurance.
