The entire world can now get a live look at World Ag Expo 2011 as it is being constructed by logging on to worldagexpo.com. Cameras have been installed around the grounds by Valley Agricultural Software (VAS) to give people a 24-hour look at the flurry of activity that is the world's largest annual agricultural exposition.

Three stationary cameras were installed on the grounds: two facing East and West, looking over Median Street, the main thoroughfare during the expo, and the third inside the 70,000-square-foot Farm Credit Dairy Center, home to more than 200 dairy exhibitors.

Three special pan-tilt-zoom cameras were installed which viewers can control from home. One camera is on the Median Street sign, one on the west end of the Farm Credit Dairy Center and the third on the roof of Heritage Complex.

The Axis Communications wireless cameras were installed by Tulare-based VAS. VAS partnered with UnWired Broadband of Fresno, an official contractor of World Ag Expo, which provided the bandwidth needed to make the Internet broadcast live. To view Median Street and Farm Credit Dairy Center cameras, visit worldagexpo.com and click on the link in the general information section where you will find the link for the live web cameras.

The 44th annual World Ag Expo, Tools for Agri-Business, will run Feb. 8-10 at the International Agri-Center show grounds in Tulare, Calif. An estimated 100,000 visitors from 72 countries are expected to attend World Ag Expo. The expo is the largest annual agricultural show of its kind with 1,500 exhibitors displaying cutting-edge agricultural technology and equipment on 2.6 million square feet of show grounds.
