The Fayette County,Tenn., Extension Office will host an irrigation meeting for row crop production Tuesday, March 2, at the Karcher’s Farm Shop in Somerville, Tenn., starting with dinner at 6 p.m.

Speakers will be Jeff Via, the county agent, and Brian Leib from the University of Tennessee. Industry representatives will also be on hand to answer questions.

The Karcher’s Farm Shop is located at 1515 Teague Store Rd., Somerville. From Hwy 64 West, turn left onto Teague Store Rd., which is just past the Shell Station. Go approx. 1.5 miles. Mabone Funeral Home will be on the left. Karcher’s Shop is 300 feet south of Mabone Funeral Home.

The meeting will be learning opportunity for area producers who have irrigation on their farms. It will help producers decide if they want to pursue getting irrigation and assist others who already have this tool.
