Index insurance insuring African farmers’ success (Part 2)

A new insurance program called Index Insurance is helping farmers in Africa increase their risk without risking their livelihoods. The program uses the latest technology to write coverage via cell phones while limiting overhead. Dr. Marco Ferroni explained the program’s operation in this interview at the World Food Prize Symposium.
