First-time crop insurance claims on the rise as farmers count the cost of the 2012 drought

The worst drought since the 1980s has Midwest corn and soybean farmers on edge. Many of them have been taking out federal crop insurance policies for years but have never filed a claim – until this year. Rabobank’s Tad Mozena talks about the drought situation in the Midwest and the impact it’s having in this interview at the Farm Progress Show in Boone, Iowa.
