Alamo Group, Inc. and Alo have begun a cooperative alliance for manufacturing and distributing their tractor loaders in North America.
Alo, the largest loader maker in the world, has been building and selling loaders and attachments under the Quicke name in North America since 1989, while Alamo Group leads the market in rotary cutters and related tractor attachments sold through its network of 2,500 Bush Hog, Rhino and SMC dealers.
The new initiative will see loaders built in Alo's facilities in Telford, Tenn., being sold through Bush Hog and Rhino dealerships under the Quicke brand.

Utrban Hadarsson, Alo's sales and marketing director says his company's "manufacturing and product leadership is an excellent fit with Alamo Group's strong market position and distribution network in the U.S." Alamo's Rick Pummell, general manager of the firm's ag business, agrees, noting: "This new alliance between the two strongest players in this market will pay great dividends in product selection and reliable distribution for our dealers and the customers."
Consolidation of both production and sales activities is already underway and is scheduled to be fully implemented July 1, 2012.
The announcement notes dealers should continue contacting their respective Bush Hog, Rhino or Alo sales and marketing representatives for assistance during the transition.
