Production of Case IH Magnum tractors is temporarily suspended due to factory damage caused by yesterday’s tornado in Mount Pleasant, WI.

“The plant is closed today pending roof repairs and water damage caused by internal sprinklers,” according to Duane Nelson, Case IH Director of Communication.

Up to 110 mph winds ripped a 100x200 ft. hole in the roof of the factory and set off internal sprinklers. Nelson says that as of last night, electricity was out in 95% of the building and will not be resumed until water cleanup is complete.

Damage was most extensive in the parts depot and area where combine axles are made. Garage doors were blown off and one tractor was blown off a trailer.

Case IH hopes to resume production of its Magnum tractors as quickly as possible.
