Trade shows and education events are a great way for people in any industry to catch up on the latest tools and technologies. The Irrigation Association builds on that with its New Product Contest, which allows companies to submit their products to be judged by a learned panel. And at the general session for the group, the winners are announced in several categories, including specialty agriculture and agriculture.
In this gallery, readers will find all the ag-focused contestants in the event, held Dec. 3-7, 2018, in Long Beach. Calif. In addition, we’ve added three more interesting tools found on the exhibit floor at the end of this gallery. The contest pulled in 58 entries featuring new products and technologies in five categories, including agriculture irrigation and agriculture specialty. Other categories included landscape irrigation, landscape specialty and landscape lighting.
The top product for ag irrigation is the S7 Spinner from Nelson Irrigation. This spinning microsprinkler uses flow-control nozzles, an industry first. The top specialty irrigation product was the Arable Mark by Arable. You can learn more about each of these products in the gallery.
This year’s ag entrants ranged from new driplines to tech-focused monitors and controls.
The final three items in this gallery were not entered in the contest, but include new tools that were introduced just in time for the show.
Check out the gallery for more information, and links to each company.
