Krone introduces lift technology for single-rotor rakes

Krone announces Swadro single-rotor rakes which now feature Krone lift tines with new angled ends allowing the equipment to lift the material while raking, creating the Krone lift effect.

Previously, Krone lift tines were only utilized on twin-rotor rake models.

The special design improves harvested forage quality by reducing contamination since the lift tines do not drag on the ground or pick up other materials from the field. In addition, the curve in the lift tines improves the windrow shape.

The advantages for producers include higher work rates and minimized crop contamination.

In a press statement, Krone says the significance of Krone lift tines may seem subtle yet the results are anything but subtle. One look at the windrow and the evidence is clear, the company says. The company says growers will see a consistent, clean, well-formed windrow achieved with more efficiency.

Krone sells single-rotor rakes at work widths of 12 feet 5 inches to 15 feet. Single-rotor models include advanced technology, including maintenance-free rotor gearboxes with a Duramax cam track – including a three-year warranty.

The tine arms utilize ball bearings within the cam track and are maintenance-free. The thick-walled tine arms, heavy-duty lift tines, and large-diameter coils provide good longevity, flexibility, and strength.
