Find a need and fill it. That's the axiom of good business – one pursued by Hoober, Inc. The agricultural equipment dealer with locations at Intercourse, Pa., McAlisterville, Pa., Chambersburg, Pa., Middletown, Del., and Seaford, Del., recently opened a sixth location in Pocomoke, Md.
In September, the company acquired the assets of Leatherbury Equipment in Cheriton, Va., about 60 miles south on the peninsula. In conjunction, Hoober officials announced plans to move the dealership to a new facility at Pocomoke.

"We've been eager to open the doors at Pocomoke, and so far the response has been wonderful," notes Hoober President Chuck Hoober. "The Pocomoke location enables us to deliver outstanding equipment, parts, service and precision ag support to farmers throughout the Delmarva Peninsula."
Mike Null, operations assistant leading the company's Delmarva operations believes the people at the Pocomoke location are one of the store's biggest strengths. "The team we have in place in Pocomoke has worked with farmers in the region for many years and is known throughout the agricultural community. We focus on delivering outstanding customer service, and the Pocomoke team reflects that.
"We've already built relationships with several customers in the region, and we're excited about the opportunities that are there for our new Pocomoke location," adds Hoober. "We truly believe we can make a difference for farmers in the area and we're encouraged by the response that we've gotten so far from customers."
