The LSU AgCenter has scheduled the annual wheat and oat field day for April 26 at the Macon Ridge Research Station south of Winnsboro, La.
The program will feature an update on the current wheat situation, and Bill Williams, an LSU AgCenter weed specialist, will talk about weed control in wheat and oats.

The field tour will include presentations on Hessian fly and aphid control, wheat variety trials, fungicide trials and disease control, according to Wink Allison, coordinator of the Macon Ridge Research Station.
Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m., and the program will start at 9 a.m. More information is available by calling (318) 435-2157.
The research station is located on Louisiana Highway 15 south of Winnsboro.
