Winter came early to northeast Tennessee with a pre-Thanksgiving snowfall ushering in the season. From that point, winter, autumn and spring seemed to mingle randomly — well below freezing one day, balmy the next, then back to seasonal temperatures.
We did experience some brief but beautiful winter snowfalls, usually no more than a dusting, just enough to brighten the landscape but too little to cause major disruptions.
Here are some images of winter in northeast Tennessee, with a few promising that spring is near.
