Max Armstrong talks about tariffs, job numbers and Toyota wiring. (audio)

At midnight eastern time, the U.S. imposed new tariffs on $34 billion of imports from China. That prompted China to respond in kind. It has especially tough impact on agriculture, because China is large ag customer.

Attorney who filed lawsuit at Toyota over wiring chewed by rats said he may file another suit after first one thrown out. Attorney said the wiring is like putting peanut butter under the hood.
The president of Jewel-Osco supermarket chain has died. Doug Cygan started there at 17, chasing carts in parking lots. He was 55.
Bob Taylor has died. He taught at Purdue for 50 years. He was 83.
