MORNING Midwest Digest, Jan. 18. 2019

Max Armstrong talks about a woman killed on an Indiana highway, younger farmers being part of a cause, not just an organization, and a different yield nine months from now.

An 18-year-old woman was killed Wednesday near Jeffersonville, Ind., when the tire of a truck hit the truck she was driving. Olivia loved horseback riding and was also serving as a lance-corporal in the U.S. Marine Corps.

Farm organizations are trying to keep younger farmers engaged in organization work. Younger growers want to be part of a cause, not just a group.

Will this wintry weekend yield something else nine months from now?
