WestBred introduces new hard red spring variety

WestBred has a new hard red spring wheat variety, WB9653. It has excellent leaf rust resistance and very good yellow (stripe) rust and fusarium head blight (scab) resistance, according to the company. It also has excellent yield potential, test weight and milling/baking quality; and  very good standability and protein content.

WB9507, a hard red spring wheat variety with excellent yield potential and very good protein potential. Widely adapted to all parts of the northern region, this variety offers farmers excellent resistance to tan spot and very good resistance to fusarium head blight, leaf rust and stem rust. Other benefits of WB9507 include excellent emergence and tillering potential.

WB-MAYVILLE, a medium-early hard red spring wheat variety with strong stem rust and leaf rust resistance.  It also has excellent protein potential and test weight, outstanding straw strength and very good milling/baking quality.

WB9879CLP, a Clearfield Plus hard red spring wheat variety with wheat stem sawfly tolerance. It has strong yield potential, excellent standability and good pest and disease tolerance.
