USDA, FAO to give crop forecast analysis at CropWorld Feb. 8-9

USDA's supply/demand report on Jan. 12 will take on greater significance after the U.N. As reported by Reuters on Jan. 9, the U.S. Department of Agriculture's supply/demand report on Jan. 12, will take on greater significance after the U.N. Food and Agricultural Organization reported that global food prices last month had eclipsed their previous peak from 2008.

Katherine R. Smith, Administrator of the United States Department of Agriculture, Economic Research Service and Dr. Josef Schmidhuber, Senior Policy Advisor from the Food and Agriculture Organisation of the United Nations will provide an in-depth forecast analysis incorporating the implications of rising food prices at CropWorld North America 2011, a two-day conference which will co-locate with InformEx USA on Feb. 8-9 in Charlotte, N.C.

An international speaker panel which includes government representatives, industry associations, crop protection experts, seed manufacturers, academic thought leaders and food industry specialists will also present, offering critical intelligence on contentious issues such as the GM market, the impact of regulatory developments and the future outlook for the agrochemicals market.
