Syngenta is offering four new soybean seed varieties with dicamba-tolerant soybean technology in its proprietary NK and Golden Harvest brands for 2017 planting in Minnesota and the Dakotas.
These new varieties offer Roundup Ready 2 Xtend technology in both brands, under a royalty-bearing license from Monsanto Co., to provide new options and choices for farmers.
“The launch of NK- and Golden Harvest-brand soybean varieties with this new technology not only gives farmers a great new weed management option, but the bar for yield performance continues to rise from unique genetics not available anywhere else,” says Scott Erickson, Syngenta soybean seed product manager.
4 NEW SOYBEANS: Syngenta is launching four new soybean varieties next year under its NK and Golden Harvest brands for growers in Minnesota and the Dakotas.
Roundup Ready 2 Xtend soybeans contain the Roundup Ready 2 Yield trait technology stacked with a trait that provides tolerance to dicamba. At this time, there are no dicamba formulations registered for in-crop use in Roundup Ready 2 Xtend soybeans in the United States.
Here is a list of the varieties available in 2017 for growers in Minnesota and the Dakotas.
Golden Harvest
• GH1852X brand: outstanding yield and standability with soybean cyst nematode protection
• GH2041X brand: superb standability with very good sclerotinia white mold protection
NK
• S18-G4X brand: strong yields, standability and protection against iron deficiency chlorosis
• S20-J5X brand: very good sclerotinia white mold protection and top-shelf yields
Each of these varieties also features the Rps1c phytophthora gene with solid emergence across multiple soils, said Syngenta reps.
