Colorado hay producers seeking ways to boost their business have, for 29 years, listed their product in the Colorado Hay Directory. The Colorado Department of Agriculture is accepting listings for the 2016 directory, and the deadline is June 15, 2016.

Cost to list your operation in this guide is $25.

Wendy White, marketing specialist with CDA, notes that "for 30 years the Colorado Hay Directory has been a vital tool for hay producers and buyers. We continue to get calls from hay buyers around the state and nation requesting copies of this popular publication."

This is a free directory and is available in August through CSU Extension Offices and various livestock associations in the state. CDA also distributes the directory at major ag events including the Colorado State Fair, National Western Stock Show and the Colorado Farm Show. And the latest directory can be found online at coloradoagriculture.com/hay.

Listings include details about the type and amount of hay available, bale type and size, whether or not a lab analysis is available, certified weed free status and it identifies organic hay. Listings are grouped by region of the state. You'll also find listings of companies that offer hay-related products or services. Companies can also advertise for $50 for a half-page and $90 for a full page ad.

For more information or to receive a Colorado Hay Directory listing form, contact the Markets Division at (303) 869-9175, e-mail [email protected] or visit coloradoagriculture.com.
