Nebraska Farm Bureau has announced the dates and location of the organization’s 106th annual state meeting and convention, set for Dec. 3-5 at Younes Conference Center South in Kearney.

The event begins Dec. 3 with a Young Farmer and Rancher committee meeting in the afternoon and collegiate fellowship registration and orientation, along with the YF&R collegiate discussion meet. Convention and voting delegate registration runs from 3 to 7 p.m., and there is a reception for past state board, state committee and Leadership Academy members that evening.

On Dec. 4, registration continues in the morning, along with the kickoff of the trade show. Discussion meet rounds one and two begin that morning, as well as workshops, including a tentative FBI cyberthreat seminar.

After lunch and the president’s annual address, a keynote speaker, more workshops and discussion meet round two are set for the afternoon, with the member benefit recognition reception and Grower’s Gala in the evening.

The final day of convention is Dec. 5, with a Farm Bureau breakfast, new delegate orientation, young leaders' roundtable and voting delegate general session all set for the morning, with another general session in the afternoon.

The convention culminates with the annual Farm Bureau Banquet and Silver Eagle presentation that evening. Learn more at nefb.org/convention.

Nebraska Cattlemen to meet in Kearney

The 2023 Nebraska Cattlemen annual convention and trade show are following closely behind Nebraska Farm Bureau, running from Dec. 6-8 at the same venue, Younes Conference Center in Kearney.

This annual gathering of Nebraska Cattlemen members and supporters includes a large trade show, committee meetings, educational workshops, and opportunities to network and establish policy direction for the organization — as well as offering opportunities to have fun together, all in support of the beef industry in the state.
