MASTER FARMERS - For the 5th year Michigan Farmer, Michigan Agri-Business Association and Michigan Farm Radio Network sponsored the Michigan Master Farmer awards. This year’s Master Farmers, Andy Snider of Hart, Clark Humrich of Webberville and brothers Dale and George Weburg of Breckenridge and Ithaca, respectively, were honored during a Jan. 14 luncheon ceremony at the Lansing Center. All were nominated by peers and were chosen by a committee of agriculture industry leaders based on farm management, innovation, conservation and leadership. Master Farmers received a plaque and Carhartt jacket, donated by Carhartt. They also receive a $1,000 check, made possible by sponsors Mosaic, GreenStone Farm Credit Services and Great Lakes Hybrids, Inc.
