6. Foreign interests held 52.1 million hectares of Australia’s 384.6 hectares of agricultural land, according to a new register. The largest investors come from China, Great Britain, the United States and the Netherlands. – The New York Times
7. USDA’s Economic Research Service released a report on food security in the United States. The report found that 12.7% of U.S. households were food insecure in 2015, a decline from the previous year. – Farm Futures
