Rodale specialty crop symposium

The program will include tours of the new Pocono Organic Center; information on research projects; and presentations by leading speakers from Rodale Institute, University of Vermont and Penn State on topics such as saffron, CBD, fiber hemp and ginseng — as well as discussions about integrated pest management and UV-light treatment. A question-and-answer session with speakers will be included after every presentation. Lunch is included.

The cost is $75.

The event is planned for Aug. 23 at the Rodale Institute Pocono Organic Center, 1015 Long Pond Road, Long Pond, Pa.
