County dairy princesses from across Minnesota gathered May 17-19 in St. Cloud for the Midwest Dairy’s Dairy Promotion and Leadership Event where 10 young women were chosen as finalists for 66th Princess Kay of the Milky Way competition.

The leadership conference offered the princesses a chance to learn about themselves and how to use their skills to promote dairy. They also learned how to be better advocates for the dairy community and networked with industry leaders and peers.

To participate in the Princess Kay finalist competition, each princess had to apply, participate in personal and mock media interviews, and prepare and deliver a speech.

The finalists are:

  • Kayla Biel, Harmony, daughter of Kevin and Kelly Biel, representing Fillmore County

  • Elizabeth Golombiecki, Morris, daughter of Julie Golombiecki and the late Ron Golombiecki, representing Stevens County

  • Donna Honer, St. Cloud, daughter of Scott and Toni Honer, representing Stearns County
