China’s burdensome cotton supply continues to concern National Cotton Council officials as they look at key issues heading into 2014.

Also, with passage of a long-awaited farm law, attention now turns to writing rules and implementing programs that will be significantly different from previous farm programs.

NCC delegates covered these and other top issues in-depth at the early February annual National Cotton Council meeting in Washington, D.C., where “The Economic Outlook for U.S. Cotton 2014” report (http://www.cotton.org/econ/reports/annual-outlook.cfm) was released.

Farm Press staff member David Bennett field this report from the annual conference.
