As 2014 draws to a close, a plethora of agricultural groups representing commodities grown in California and Arizona held their annual meetings this year, including the 91st Western Cotton Shippers Association event held in Tubac, Ariz.

WCSA members heard speakers discuss cotton- and shipping-related issues, including cotton leaders Jesse Curlee of Supima; Marcel van Dijk, Port of Los Angeles; Joel Perler, Port of Long Beach; Maria Townsend, USDA-Agricultural Marketing Service; John Chilton of Handwerker-Winburne; William Gillon, Cotton Board; and Richard Clarke, American Cotton Shippers past president.
