September 7, 2016
The Corn Marketing Program of Michigan (CMPM) has completed its first week of yield checks across the state. CMPM staff are reporting average yields that are 10 to 15 percent lower than 2015 yields with high variability from county to county.
This is the second year that CMPM has hosted the Between the Rows Tour, which includes yield checks and a series of farm meetings across the state. Each meeting brings together local farmers, grain marketers and staff to discuss the crop outlook for the 2016 corn harvest.
