The annual Santa Maria strawberry field day is set for May 10 for Manzanita Berry Farms, 1891 West Main St., Santa Maria, Calif.

On the agenda are discussions on fungicide resistance in Botrytis gray mold, management strategies for verticillium wilt, alternatives for controlling soil pests, IPM strategies, lygus bug control, sprayer equipment calibration and best management practices to optimize coverage, and the use of drone technology to release predatory mites, apply pesticides and monitor crop health.

DPR and CCA credits have been requested for the half-day event. Registration begins at 8 a.m. There is no cost to attend the event.

Spanish interpretation will be provided.
