Around the country these days farmers and dealers are testing out machines that take the operator out of the cab, or using machines with no cab at all. What might a future filled with such machines look like, and will it change the way you farm?

The Around Farm Progress podcast caught up with Paul Welbig, Raven Industries, to discuss what that company is learning about deployment of driverless technology in the field. From the OmniPower autonomous spreader to the new Case IH Trident 5550 with Raven Autonomy, the company is deploying machines for real-world work. And they’re finding that farmers can benefit from the technology.

Welbig discusses the steps to autonomy and what that means. And he shares some insights the company has picked up from those farmers and dealers experimenting with this new technology. For some it will change the way they farm. Give the podcast a listen to find out more about how this technology could change the way you farm.
