Michigan soybean producers wanted to serve on board

Applications being accepted for openings on United Soybean Board through April 16.

SEATS OPEN: Two Michigan farmers currently on the United Soybean Board will complete their second three-year terms in December.

The Michigan Soybean Promotion Committee is seeking nominations for appointment consideration to the United Soybean Board.

Two Michigan farmers currently on USB will complete their second three-year terms in December. MSPC, as Michigan’s state soybean board, is responsible for seeking qualified, interested candidates to consider for appointment.

Qualified candidates for each position must be a soybean producer engaged in the growing of soybeans in the U.S. and own or share the ownership of those soybeans.

All eligible soybean producers are invited to seek nomination for a seat on USB. For convenience, USDA-AMS has provided two forms on its website that need to be completed and returned to MSPC by April 16 for the applicant to be considered for nomination and possible appointment.

The two forms are:

Completed forms may be emailed to Sonja Lapak at [email protected]; faxed to 989-652-3296; or mailed to MSPC, P.O. Box 287, Frankenmuth, MI 48734, to arrive no later than April 16.
