Despite being held on a hot, steamy day a huge crowd visited the Aug. 7 2015 Arkansas Rice Expo in Stuttgart. The expo offered something for all. Field tours offered producers a chance to hear the latest on rice breeding programs, soybeans and weed control. There were kid-friendly activities like BB gun and archery ranges as well as 4-H-sponsored booths. There were cooking and canning demonstrations and horticulture seminars. For those looking to stay in air conditioning, speakers included Gov. Asa Hutchinson, and rice marketing experts.
