After a 75-year absence in the marketplace, the Rob-See-Co corn brand will again be available to growers for the 2016 planting season, the company announced this week.

Rob-See-Co CEO, Rob Robinson explains, "Selling Rob-See-Co brand corn products in the market is an exciting next step in being able to offer a wide range of genetic options for our customers as well as building brand awareness and brand equity for Rob-See-Co.

"We will continue to offer the Innotech brand which provides us access to all products and traits that come through the Syngenta research pipeline," he said.

According to Robinson, the Rob-See-Co brand of corn products offers us additional flexibility in regard to supply, forecasting dates, product cost negotiations, etc.,

This combination of the two brands will ensure we deliver highly competitive hybrids at a fair price, he said.

"The intent is to not differentiate in regard to price, performance, etc., but to build and maintain positive brand equity for both the Rob-See-Co brand as well as the Innotech brand. Putting the best hybrid package together for a customer will most often require utilizing hybrids from both the Rob-See-Co and Innotech brands," he said.

The Rob-See-Co brand will only extend to corn products at this time. Rob-See-Co's current access to soybean genetics and traits will remain exclusively through the Innotech brand.

Rob-See-Co expands sale distribution network
Robinson also announced expansion of the sales territory for the Innotech brand of seeds.

Beginning this fall, Rob-See-Co will actively expand its marketing efforts to areas east of the Mississippi River. Currently Rob-See-Co markets the Innotech brand of seed in all states west of the Mississippi.

"This expansion will allow us the opportunity to bring the innovative Innotech brand of seeds from Syngenta to more growers on a regional basis," Robinson said.

"In the same manner we have built our sales force in the western Corn Belt, the clarity of our recruiting efforts will continue in the eastern markets, aggressively developing a network of Direct Sales Representatives and local Business Associates who will help establish the unique relationship between the Rob-See-Co brand and the Innotech brand."

Since the initial introduction of Rob-See-Co in October 2013, the company has recruited "one of the most powerful sales forces in the industry today," said Sales and Marketing Manager, Steve Pike.

The company has seven regions, consisting of 29 Direct Sales Representatives and more than 100 local Business Associates,

The expanded territory will the company to begin completing an extremely efficient distribution network over the next two years.

"We are in the process of hiring an additional 8 to 10 additional DSRs to our sales team," Pike said.
