Tulare County pistachio grower awaits answers to two big questions about this year’s crop

Meanwhile, like their other crops, the Wattes’ pistachios have taken good advantage of this spring’s warm weather. “They’re developing about a week ahead of usual,” says Brian. “The clusters are all formed with a lot of big, beautiful nuts. The shells are close to harvest size. It looks like it could be a very nice crop, if the kernels develop.”
