Marrone Bio Innovations (MBI) announces that the California Department of Pesticide Regulation has approved additional uses for Regalia Biofungicide. The new Regalia label features full aerial application instructions for all edible crops including downy mildew and Sclerotinia on leafy greens, blight in walnuts, and brown rot in almonds and stone fruit.

During parts of the year in California, wet field conditions can make it difficult to get spray equipment into fields and orchards. Now that Regalia can be applied through aerial application, growers can protect crops when field conditions do not favor use of ground sprayers.

“For aerial application, our general recommendation is to apply one-half to 1 quart of Regalia in a minimum of 5 gallons of water per acre,” states Dr. Tim Johnson, global product development director for Marrone Bio Innovations. The new Regalia label applies to both conventional and organic production, and is NOP compliant and OMRI approved. The complete, updated label instructions are available to growers and PCAs through CDMS <http://cts.vresp.com/c/?MarroneBioInnovation/6c4860c890/29137c90e9/7c5dbf3b09/manuf=302&t=1,2,3,4> and Agrian http://cts.vresp.com/c/?MarroneBioInnovation/6c4860c890/29137c90e9/a1574eb3df.

When crops are treated with Regalia, their defense systems are ‘switched on’ to protect against attacking diseases. Research shows that plants treated with Regalia produce and accumulate elevated levels of specialized proteins and other compounds known to inhibit fungal and bacterial diseases. A complete list of crops and diseases may be found on the product label. Visit www.marronebio.com/regalia http://cts.vresp.com/c/?MarroneBioInnovation/6c4860c890/29137c90e9/8f07e60ff6
