Orion Samuelson is back this week joining Max on the desk. They get an update on China trade from Tom Sleight of the U.S. Grains council. David Hightower of The Hightower Report joins Max and Orion to further discuss trade with China and its effects on the market, plus a look at slowness in the wheat crop.

Part 2

David Hightower of The Hightower Report joins Max and Orion to dig deeper on trade with China especially around ethanol. Chad Colby in the Colby Ag Tech segment stops by the Case IH in Racine, Wisconsin checking out their new Racine Experience Center facility. Agricultural Meteorologist Greg Soulje looks at weather for the Western United States. Max then spends some time with Josh Miller of BASF to learn about fungicides.

Part 3

Max Armstrong and Orion Samuelson discuss talks around the 2018 Farm Bill especially around the dairy segment, Mike Adams reports. Max and Orion later discuss the timing and possibility of a farm bill passing soon.

Part 4

Max and Orion introduce a report from Chad Colby on planting progress around the country. Agricultural Meteorologist Greg Soulje looks at weather for the Eastern United States. In Max’s Tractor Shed, Max introduces a 1974 Ford 5000 owned by Frank Ellis in Sandy Ridge, Alabama.

Part 5

In the farm broadcaster of the week segment Max and Orion chat Don Wick of the Red River Farm Network out of Grand Forks, North Dakota. The Bayer Farm Challenge of the Week rounds out the segment.

Part 6

Orion Samuelson profiles Barrington Middle FFA in Lithia, Florida, the winter strawberry capital of the world, where they just won a major award.  Member Will Haxton talks about how they were named the no. 1 chapter for strengthening agriculture. In Samuelson Sez, Orion tells us to “Eat an Egg.” Greg Soulje offers his look at the weather for the week ahead.

Part 7

Max and Orion introduce a report from Jamie Johansen who tells us the story of Todd Fischer in Bagley, Wisconsin, first generation farmer finding success at his Fischer Dairy Farms after starting from scratch.
