Part 1

Mike Pearson is at the desk this week and Max Armstrong is in the field. We start off with a discussion between the two on how lenders are feeling about the economy and interest rates. Next, Mike talks markets with Dan Basse, of AgResource Company, to discuss trade with China and South American crops.

Part 2

Dan Basse, of AgResource Company returns to discuss higher financing rates. Lastly, they discuss fuel costs and livestock. In the Colby Ag Tech segment Chad Colby is talking about the new technology at the winter farm and technology shows.

Part 3

Mike discusses the impact of higher interest rates on the economy with Tommy Grisafi of Advance Trading. Tom Brand, executive director of the National Association of Farm Broadcaster, talks with Mike about their annual convention.

Part 4

Mike introduces the latest Plan Smart Grow Smart segment from BASF. Agricultural Meteorologist Greg Soulje looks at the weather for the week ahead.

Part 5

Agricultural Meteorologist Greg Soulje returns to take a look at the long-range weather picture.

Part 6

In Max’s Tractor Shed, Max takes a look at set of auger tractors. Next, Mike and Greg Soulje dig a little deeper into the weather.

Part 7

Mike wraps up the show introducing a report from Max taking a look back at five years of Plan Smart Grow Smart.
