Max Armstrong examines the latest weather and how it has brought replanting season along. He says many farmers are already asking for a shorter season seed from their seed dealers.

The latest planting progress from the USDA will be issued. As of last week, corn was on schedule and soybeans were ahead. All eyes are wheat and barley in the northern states since they are way behind in planting.

In business news, 3M may be shoved out of the Dow Jones—a place it’s held for over 40 years.

And a look at General Motors as the first look at electric Chevrolet Silverados and the GMC Hummer gets underway. The cost can be as much as $150,000.

Plus, two communities get ready to say goodbye to two fallen police officers.

Max Armstrong's Farm Progress America is a daily look at key issues in agriculture. It is produced and presented by Max Armstrong, veteran farm broadcaster and host of This Week in Agribusiness.
