Max Armstrong talks about sunrise Easter services, including the one at Bald Knob Cross in Illinois.

April 7, 2023

It's exactly 250 years since the first Easter sunrise service in the U.S. And many locations continue to host a sunrise service.

One service will happen at the Bald Knob Cross, in deep southern Illinois. The 111-foot-tall cross is one of the largest in the U.S., and it has a strong agricultural tie. The cross rises like a beacon, and a monument of peace and hope. The service this Sunday will have both contemporary and traditional pieces.
