Max Armstrong reports on corn breeding work focusing on short stature corn. Max shares work at Bayer on short-stature corn which would be planted at higher populations. The company has introduced its first hybrids using the practice in Mexico. The idea is to produce more total weight of corn per acre, but the practice requires a systems approach, which Max details.
