There are plenty of good advisors for farmers, including Michael Downy, says Max. He helps with planning, leasing and general advice, and says that more often, farming is becoming more of a business, more operations are collaborating and participating in peer groups. He says that future farm owners need to be educated, explaining that there’s a large gap in the management knowledge between generations. Downy also points out that relationships are key, and Max agrees.
