Max Armstrong's Daily Updates

Farm Progress America, July 20, 2022

Max Armstrong reports on a thriving, small dairy farm in Wisconsin.

Max thought dairy farms just kept getting bigger. However, one family farm in Wisconsin is bucking the trend by milking only 42 dairy cows. The Lammers are raising their family on 42 cows and a couple hundred acres. On average, Wisconsin dairy farms have more than 190 cows per farm. They milk and feed cows twice a day, and have tillable acres to feed and bed their animals.

Max Armstrong's Farm Progress America is a daily look at key issues in agriculture. It is produced and presented by Max Armstrong, veteran farm broadcaster and host of This Week in Agribusiness.
