Max thought dairy farms just kept getting bigger. However, one family farm in Wisconsin is bucking the trend by milking only 42 dairy cows. The Lammers are raising their family on 42 cows and a couple hundred acres. On average, Wisconsin dairy farms have more than 190 cows per farm. They milk and feed cows twice a day, and have tillable acres to feed and bed their animals.
