Spring wheat leads crop markets lower

Corn, soybeans also lower despite lower ratings. (audio)

Spring wheat futures are more than 20 cents lower at midsession as investors take back some of that markets recent big gains. The crop continues to struggle from dry conditions early in the season, but much of that hardship has been priced into the market.

Corn and soybeans are lower despite lower crop ratings late on Monday. Rain this week in the Midwest and cool but dry conditions there next week may help those crops, which are in their seed production phases.
