Small monthly crush hits soybeans

Spring wheat moves higher again, winter wheat slips. (audio)

A small soybean crush in June, as reported by the NOPA, turned soybean futures lower near midday. The crush of 138 million bushels missed trade forecasts and was down about 7 million from a year ago.

Forecasts for hot weather later this week for the central Plains and Midwest gave the corn and soybeans some support as did light farmer selling of both crops.
