Corn and soybeans pull back overnight

Cooler and wetter forecasts send markets lower. (Video)

Temperatures will hit triple digit readings again today in many areas of the Corn Belt. But corn and soybeans sold off overnight on forecasts for cooler and wetter weather next week. Storms are moving through the region from South Dakota to Indiana, a front providing at least a little relief to baking crops. Strong weekly export sales reported Thursday gave wheat a lift yesterday, with prices trying to hold on to gains today.
