Make reservations now for the 85th Western Growers Annual Convention Nov. 14-17 in scenic Maui, Hawaii.

"Western Growers' Annual Convention brings growers, packers, shippers, buyers, and suppliers together to learn about new products, create new business relationships, make decisions, and plan for the future,” says Robby Barkley, Western Growers’ board chairman.

Western Growers staff and health care experts will discuss the rules and regulations of the new health care law.

Milo Ferini, co-founder of Betteravia Farms, Santa Maria, Calif., is this year’s award honoree. Ferini has passionately supported the agricultural industry for five decades.

Tommy Lasorda, who piloted the Los Angeles Dodgers to eight division titles, four pennants, and two world championships, will speak during the award dinner.

Agribusiness expert John Lamb will address the future of farming including genetically modified organisms, environmental sustainability, and other technology.

At the Political Action Committee breakfast, Ken Khachigian of the law firm Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck and Julian Heron of Tuttle Taylor & Heron will provide insight on the Nov. 2 election.
